    Price includes digital copy of book. It is $50 for a printed copy. You may select a printed copy during registration.

    We are able to provide special pricing for this course courtesy of our volunteer instructors.

    Parking is available at the building. Levels 1-2 are visitor parking.

    Director Chief William Swann
    Nashville Fire Department/OEM

    Topic: High Rise Fire Safety and other Fire Safety measures, including Knox Box regulations.

    Chief William Swann joined the Nashville Fire Department in 1995 and has built a distinguished career over 28 years. He progressed from firefighter to instructor, then to roles including Director of the Office of Emergency Management and Deputy Fire Director. Working closely with Retired Fire Director Ricky White, Swann gained crucial experience, ultimately becoming the Director Chief of the NFD in October 2018. He is Nashville's first African American to hold both the Deputy Director and Director Chief positions. A Gulf War veteran with five years in the Army, Swann is also active in his community, serving as a deacon and teaching various lifesaving courses. He lives in Nashville with his wife Connie and their three children.
