Ryan Husted graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a degree in Meteorology. In addition, Ryan graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2020 with an MBA, focused on Leadership Studies.
Ryan began his career with the National Weather Service in 2008, making stops in Austin/San Antonio, Texas, Memphis, Tennessee, and Goodland, Kansas. Ryan escaped the Great Plains to join the National Weather Service in Nashville, Tennessee in October 2023.
In his current role as Warning Coordination Meteorologist, a role he has held since August 2016, Ryan actively works within the community to promote disaster safety, preparedness, and planning. Ryan builds partnerships between the National Weather Service and Emergency Management, Broadcast Media, the State of Tennessee, a variety of other city, county, state and federal officials, and even other important members of the community such as business owners. Ryan is often called to help out in operations during weather events, and is also responsible for post-storm damage assessments when disaster strikes.
Please be aware there are a limited number of free parking spaces (first come, first serve basis) paid by BOMA Nashville and Metropolis/SP+. Parking is available at the locations listed below. Please refer to the map below for guidance. You do not need to print any vouchers or show any passes during the allotted time of 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.
