Sergeant B. Kris DeLap
Central Precinct Community Coordinator
Metropolitan Nashville Police Department

Attend in-person at Maggiano's or bring your own lunch and eat at your computer as we watch Sgt. DeLap's Active Assailant Presentation.

The purpose of the active shooter presentation (CRASE- Civilian Response to Active Shooter (attacker) Events) is to give individuals knowledge of:

  • Best practices of survival through Avoid, Deny, Defend formally known as Run, Hide, Fight
  • Learn about the psychology of who survives & why during disastrous events
  • Being situational aware of your surroundings during all times anywhere you are
  • Getting in the proper mindset of having a script & practicing (whether at home, work, or anywhere). This includes having a contingency plan in place for your place of employment.
  • Know what to expect when first responders respond.

As active attacks are becoming far more common throughout our nation, the goal is not to promote fear. But to encourage individuals to think & plan “If something was to happen, what is my plan?” During the presentation, there will not be any viewings of persons injured, killed, or death. This is all informational. The approximate time for the presentation with Q & A is 1 hour 15 minutes.

If you plan to attend in-person, please arrive at Maggiano's by 11:00 am. The presentation will begin promptly at 11:15 am.

Registrants who opt to attend virtually will receive the Zoom meeting information the morning before the meeting.

A drawing for door prizes will be held at the end of the meeting.

The registration deadline is Friday, March 05.
