    Virtual BOMI Environmental Health and Safety (RPA/FMA Required Course)

    Environmental Health and Safety Issues presents best practices for developing and managing an effective environmental health and safety program. You will learn about the regulatory process and how it affects facilities. Compliance with laws and regulations is a key focus. The course will prepare you to conduct site assessments, analyze risk, and cooperate with compliance audits. The course also guides learners through the planning process to mitigate the risk from any workplace emergency, specifically addressing hazardous materials, air quality, water pollution, asbestos and lead hazards, and tank management. The management of and response to specific indoor environmental quality complaints is also addressed.

    Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:

    • Develop and manage an effective environmental health and safety program, integrating sustainable best practices wherever appropriate
    • Ensure that your facilities are in compliance with Federal, state, and local regulatory mandates
    • Assess environmental risk factors and prepare for compliance audits
    • Address emergency environmental health situations through proper planning and incident response
    • Maintain health and safety records in accordance with industry best practices
    • Manage indoor environmental quality complaints related to air, water, mold, radon, asbestos, and other environmental hazards
    • Execute appropriate record keeping, reporting, and other requirements associated with aboveground and underground storage tank regulations
    • Design and implement a waste management program, including recycling and disposal of all forms of waste including landfills waste, hazardous waste, universal, electronic, and tenant-generated waste

    • Regulatory overview, including OSHA and EPA regulations

    Cancellation and Refund Policy
    • A full refund will be issued for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the class start date. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
    • If you cancel a class with less than 48 hours, you have the option to apply the credit toward a future class or seminar within the same calendar year. Cancellation within 48 hours are non-refundable.
    • Please register early. If there are not enough registrations 5 business days before the class, the course will be cancelled. In this event, a full refund will be issued to all those that registered.

    The Building Owners and Managers Association of Nashville invites all Professional Property Managers, Building Owners, and Facility Managers to the 9th Annual BOMA Nashville Trade show. The Trade Show will be held on April, 25th from 4:00-6:30pm. BOMA's Trade Show will be located in the concourse of First Horizon Park (the Nashville Sounds Stadium). Each attendee will be provided 2 drink tickets, good for beer or wine, and other drinks can also be purchased. Prize drawings will be held every 15-20 minutes throughout out the evening. You must be present to win.

    Each exhibitor’s booth will offer information you need to provide your properties with the best products and services. Information tracks include: Janitorial, Plumbing, Landscaping, Elevators, Roofing, HVAC, Security and more.

With over a decade in higher education, she intentionally weaves DEIB into the core of organizations, merging data-driven strategies with profound insights into human behavior.

    Broadening her DEIB advocacy, Dr. White hosts the "Call In" podcast, diving into DEIB topics and the delicate balance between 'calling in' and 'calling out'.

    In 2023, she penned her third book, "50 Questions Inclusive Leaders Ask: How Forward-Thinking Leaders Stay Current." Earlier, in 2016, she founded S.A.M.S. (Student Affairs Moms), the preeminent online community for mothers in student affairs. Her forthcoming book will spotlight the experiences of working mothers on college campuses.

    Dr. White's academic accolades include degrees from Indiana University, Ball State, and the University of Mississippi. She currently resides in Oxford, Mississippi, but often visits Bloomington, Indiana, where her daughter, Emory, attends college.
